Organizations can now give other organizations ratings within the OMX platform. They can rate others based on OMX's preset defaults or create their own custom values. This new feature is another way companies can internally annotate other groups they conduct business with. This rating is for the organization's personal record and will be kept private to the administrator.
How to Rate:
To begin rating, log into your account. From the Marketplace, search for the organization that you'd like to rate. For detailed instructions on OMX's advanced search features and searching for suppliers in the Marketplace, click here.
Once you found the company from the search results, select the blue ‘Annotate’ button on the right-hand side. Then a list of abilities will pop-up such as, ‘Ratings,’ ‘Tags,’ and ‘Notes.’ If you are interested in learning more about the 'Tags' and 'Notes' features, click here and here.
Under ‘Ratings’ you can then leave a one to five-star rate.
For example, if ‘Company A’ has a great quality turn-key product, you can now give ‘Company A’ five-stars based on ‘Quality.’
This is just one feature that can better assist you in your efforts to maintain well-kept records on suppliers when establishing your supply chain.
How to Edit your Ratings
Once you are logged in, hover your cursor over the dashboard on the left. When doing so, you should now see an array of options appear. From the bottom of the list, locate ‘Settings’ which is symbolized with a gear icon.
Click ‘Settings’ to reveal a drop-down menu. In the drop-down menu, locate ‘Defaults.’ Once selected, another drop-down menu will appear and from that menu, locate and select ‘Ratings.’
Now you should be brought to a new page. At the top of your page, it should list your 'organization’s name / Organization Rating.’ For the purpose of this example, it reads ‘OMX / Organization Rating’ this is one way to identify that you are now on the right page
Within this page, users can do one of two things. Users can either delete a value or add a value to which you can rate suppliers.
Adding a Custom Rating Value
To add a value, administrators can select the blue box on the upper right hand that reads ‘Add Rating.’
Then users will be prompted to give the rating a description. For the purpose of this demonstration, we listed ‘Test’ as a new rating. Once done, ensure to click ‘Save’ and the platform will add the rating to your profile.
That means that you will now be able to see your custom parameter(s) under every company profile when 'Annotate' is selected.
To delete a value, users can select and click the box on the left of the value. Once selected, a red ‘Delete Selected’ box will immediately appear.
When you select 'Delete Selected,' a window will then appear asking the following, “Are you sure you want to delete the selected ratings?” When ready select ‘Ok’ for the value to be deleted.
Tip: when trying to delete multiple values at once, an administrator can select multiple boxes to mass delete values swiftly.
Or, administrators can hover their cursor over any particular value and select the 'X' to delete.
Once clicked, a window will appear asking, “Are you sure you want to delete the selected ratings?” then select ‘Ok.’
